Feeling Crafty

May is always a crazy month! So many families are gearing up for graduations, weddings, vacations, getting kids ready for camps, mission trips and other activities that involve a lot of planning and organizing to succeed.

And many of these same activities inspire gift giving as well. So, in an effort to check off a couple of items off of my own to-do list and preserve my sanity at the same time, I set aside a little bit of time for some crafty fun!

This garden sign with a quote from Robert Lewis Stevenson makes quite an impact, despite being completed in about 15 minutes of hands on time with embellishments.

Shadow boxes usually indicate a gift which is a keepsake. This is for my niece’s high school graduation. The design was completed in her school colors of royal blue and silver. She can hang her tassel inside the box as a permanent reminder of this milestone time in her life. This was my first time creating two-toned scripts without blurring the lines between the colors ombre style. I think it turned out cute.

Which of these two projects do you prefer?
