Do you select a word to help you focus your year? I haven’t done it in years past, but I thought that this might be a good year to try and hone in on what I want to achieve.
2019 has been super tough for me. I have had two major surgeries. My mother has been diagnosed with both Parkinson’s and Parkinson’s related dementia. My father’s seizures have acted up, rendering him unable to drive again. My oldest son’s seizures have been unremitting, although lessened with medication and my youngest son moved out. While we are proud of him for setting out on his adult life, it is still a bit melancholy when they leave. I have a lot going on, and my crafts business has fallen horribly on the wayside.
2020 is the year I plan to resuscitate my little business. When it is working, I am able to bring in a bit of much needed income, be more creative, and enjoy the company of other creative people. It gives me something to focus my energies on and the flexibility to have fun while earning some money. I get an awful lot out of my little side hustle!
So, for this year, I have done something I haven’t done before. I chose a word to use to keep me focused in the new year. I chose the word create. I want to create an income, friendships, a happy home, a growing business, a happy family, etc. Plus, I want to explore many crafting opportunities as I encourage my clients to do!
